Short-term groups supporting long-term growth 

 

FALL MIDWEEK KICKOFF – NIGHT OF WORSHIP |  AUGUST 19 

As a new semester begins, we want to start together in worship. Join us for a Fall MidWeek Kick Off, a churchwide Night of Worship designed for every generation from 6:00 PM-6:45 PM.
 
This special evening will include music, worship, and moments of reflection as we focus our hearts on the Lord and look ahead to the fall season. Whether you attend alone, wtih friends, or as a family, we invite you to join us as we gather to celebrate God’s faithfulness and seek Him together. Childcare is available for children ages 3 and under.
 
 

 

FULL PROGRAMMING  |  AUGUST 26 – DECEMBER 2

MidWeek runs weekly from 6-8pm, for the duration of the Fall semester (except October 14 for Fall Break & November 25 for Thanksgiving), and includes Adult Grow Studies, Living Well Ministries, Worship Ministries, and opportunities to connect your kids to thriving NextGen Ministries.

 

CHURCH FELLOWSHIP MEALS  |  5-6 PM  |  FELLOWSHIP HALL

Beginning August 12,  on Wednesday nights during the Fall Semester of MidWeek, we have a fellowship meal before MidWeek begins at 6 pm. 

Pricing is as follows: Toddlers (3 and under): Free; Children (ages 12 and under): $6 at the door or $5 prepaid online; Everyone 13 and up/Adults: $10 at the door or $9.50 prepaid online. 1st time FBC Bryan visitors/guests: Free.

Menus are listed in each Sunday bulletin and posted on our social media channels (menu & prices subject to change). 

 

 

Our Midweek Adult Grow Studies are built around Jesus’s Great Commission to go and make disciples, and His Great Commandment to love God wiht all our heart, soul, and mind – and to love our neighbors. 

 

We encourage you to select MidWeek Studies each semester that will nurture growth in every area of your growth as a disciple: 

HEART, SOUL, MIND, NEIGHBOR.

 

 

Church Prayer Ministry

Large Conference Room   Join us as we gather to pray for our church, our community, and others around the world. Those seeking to be prayed over by the prayer team can come to the prayer room at any time during the prayer gathering.

6:00 – 7:30 pm  |  Experiencing God in Everyday Life: A Journey toward Spiritual Maturity  |  Coed Study  |  David Gusewelle, Senior Adult Pastor                           
Room 136A  |  Experiencing God in Everyday Life works through eight “realities” or central truths that guide us on a journey towards spiritual maturity. Each unit of study focuses on one of these realities of experiencing God in everyday life. The eight units will lead you to develop weekly habits, or rhythms, and lead you to take steps toward spiritual maturity.

Room 241 A&B (Breakouts in 232, 233)  |  Re:generation is a Christ – centered discipleship ministry designed to help people find healing, freedom and wholeness by addressing current and past hurts or struggles that can keep us from experiencing the abundant life God intends. 
Through authentic biblical community and same-gender small groups, participants experience spiritual transformation in areas such as relationships, emotions, past wounds, fears, unforgiveness, and other personal struggles. Re:generation provides a safe and supportive environment where practical tools and biblical truth come together to foster lasting change.

Room 275A  |  In the Overcomers Bible study, pastor Matt Chandler takes you through each chapter in Revelation, revealing how it is not just about future events but also has practical relevance for your life right now. You are a part of a spiritual family that has helped to bring about God’s purposes over the centuries!  As a member of the church that carries on that mission today, you are an Overcomer – a believer who is propelled by scriptural truths and empowered by the work of Jesus.

Room 275A  |  Join the E6 Men’s Ministry as we dive into the book of Ephesians to uncover the blueprint behind our ministry’s name. Together, we’ll learn what it looks like to walk out our faith faily, protect our families, and stand firm in Christ using the full armor of God

Room 270  |   If you’ve ever felt lost in Bible study and feel like everyone else knows things you don’t, this class is for you. In this course, we will get familiar with the Big Story of the Bible to see how it all fits together, from Creation to Revelation.

Room Loft AB  |  Come experience what it’s like to be in or lead an Alpha group – a tool God is mightily using nationally and globally for believers to share Jesus with their neighbors. Using hospitality meals and video content that addresses the big questions lost people are asking, you and others from your GroupLife class can confidently share Jesus with your neighbors in a home, coffee shop, or other community location. 

6:00 – 7:30 PM |  Mom Up  |  Mom’s Study  |  Chelsye Rich, Preschool Director | August 26 – October 7
Room 274  |  Come join other moms as we learn how to step out of survival mode and into the abundant life God has for us through motherhood. NO outside reading required, we will read the book together each Wednesday evening & discuss! Books will be available for purchase for $12 each the first few weeks of class

Room 271  |  Family Shepherds is a practical Bible Study for all parents, with an emphasis on the father’s calling to serve their family as an ambassador of Heaven. Through both teaching and discussion, men and women will be challenged to see the responsibility and opportunity to honor what only God’s grace can do in their children’s lives.

LIVING WELL MINISTRIES

Room 137 |   Divorce Care is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult seasons. You will learn how to heal from the deep hurt of divorce and discover hope for your future.

Room 138  | Grief Share support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable resources to help you recover from your loss and rebuild your life.

Room  272  Embrace Grace is for young ladies who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or who have recently had their child. We are here to walk alongside you for physical, emotional and spiritual support.

Room  273   Empower is for single mothers who are looking for community and support as they seek to thrive & not just survive. Our group is designed to empower single mothers to God’s best for their lives. 

6:00 – 7:30 pm   |   Mended   |  Nicole Miller
Room 275B   Come sit alongside parents of nerodivergent kids in hard seasons adn receive practical support, Gospel-shaped perspective, and a safe place to share. Together, we will learn how to connect with our children’s hearts and to show them care, love and the hope of Christ in ways that honor how God has uniquely made them.

Room 136B |   An overview of the essential Christian doctrines including the attributes of God, the person of Christ, the nature of the church, among others.

Rooms:  Beginners – 235;  Intermediate – 236A;  Advanced – 236 B | One of the ways our church helps our community is through ESL classes. Come learn English as a second language in one of three levels of language proficiency.

Room 234 | Come discover biblical truths, engage in meaningful discussion, and be refreshed as we grow together in God’s Word. 

 

WORSHIP MINISTRIES

Choir Room | Our Senior Adult choir meets every Wednesday in the Fall & Spring semesters. The Broadman Singers sing in the Traditional Worship Service once every semester, along with singing periodically in retirement facilities. The Broadman Singers’ accompanist is Marvella Thompson.

Choir Room | Our Worship Choir for the Traditional Choir is open to everyone. This non-auditioned group of singers from college-age through senior adults leads every Sunday morning in the 8:40 am service.  

6:45 – 8:15 pm   |   Traditional Orchestra  |  Lesley Zorn

Worship Center | Our orchestra helps lead our Traditional Service each Sunday morning at 8:40 am. It is open to any member who plays a musical instrument. No audition is required.

2nd Floor Kids Hall    Crew is an interactive Wednesday night experience for Kinder – 6th grade kids.  Beginning with our worship electives (Art, Choir, STEM, etc.), kids will get to flex their creative brains and learn how to worship the Lord in a variety of ways! All kids will engage in fun, activity-based learning of Bible truths, along with engaging discussions and activities.

Room 170  |  Highlight is open to 7th – 12th grade students and is directed by Derrick Arellano. In addition to participating in weekly rehearsals, Highlight has scheduled performances in the Traditional and Contemporary Worship Services and also participates in a weekend Choir Tour in June.

Middle Schoolers in Youth Building / High Schoolers in College Life Space    
Join us weekly for a midweek worship service tailored for 7th – 12th graders. We engage through games, worship, bible study, prayer groups and much more.
