The Loft
A Place for community
In ancient Jewish and Greco-Roman architecture, houses often had an upper room or a “loft” that was used for various purposes, including storage, living space, or gatherings. These rooms were typically accessed by an external staircase and provided a private and secluded area for meetings. In the context of the New Testament, the upper room or “loft” holds particular significance as a place of fellowship and divine encounter.
The Loft is the name of the singles ministry at First Baptist Bryan. The Loft offers GroupLife classes across different life stages. Whether you are pursuing your career, a single parent, or a senior adult, there is a place for you. We meet on Sunday mornings in GroupLife Bible studies, during midweek classes, and for special events and fellowships to strengthen community and encourage one another in our everyday lives. In the tradition of the early church, we believe that The Loft is a place for fellowship and divine encounter

For young single adults in their twenties, thirties, and forties who are continuing in their education or getting started in their careers. Through gathering with other young adults, growing in God’s Word, and living it out, we can encourage and support one another to follow Jesus in every aspect of our lives. The Loft | PrimeTime
For singles in their fifties and up, this class studies the Bible through a facilitator/group discussion format on Sunday mornings. And plans numerous activities to build community during the week.

For single parents of any age to find support and community. This class studies the Bible through a facilitator/group discussion format and provides practical care as they navigate this season of life together.
