BUILD A BETTER MARRIAGE

RE|ENGAGE  MARRIAGE MENTORING

Re|Engage is a ministry that links married couples with a mentor couple for the duration of a Spring or Fall semester. Re|Engage Mentor Groups will complete 14 weeks of marriage development material and mentoring. This is our 12th session of building better marriages in Re|Engage.

Here’s how a typical night of Re|Engage looks:  Each Wednesday at 6 pm, doors will open in Room 270 for couples to gather for 15 minutes of refreshments and fellowship, followed by a time of large group encouragement before meeting in Re|Engage Mentor Groups of 5 – 7 other couples. The weekly session will end in time to pick up kids from After Care in their ministry areas by 8 pm.

Pre-requisites and Registration:  Couples are asked to read the FAQ and register before Test Drive Night on August 17.  Before arriving at Test Drive Night, complete the Test Drive Lesson with your spouse. When you arrive on Test Drive Night, you’ll walk through the Test Drive Lesson discussion in a mentor group. All of this will give you a clear sense of what to expect for the remainder of the semester. After you indicate your desire to continue with the semester, you’ll make the $40/couple semester tuition payment and receive your couple workbooks.

Weekend to Remember.  For more than 40 years, Weekend to Remember getaway weekends have witnessed the healing, restoration, and reconciliation of marriages. Everyone is welcome: the divorced, the on-the-verge of divorce, the deliriously-in-love, the betrothed, the newlyweds, the wise, and the seasoned. First Baptist Bryan is sending a group to San Antonio, November 17-19, 2023. But you don’t have to wait for a scheduled group trip — any couple can attend any weekend that works best for them — and there are many dates and destinations to choose from. If you do have interest about the 2023 Weekend to Remember in San Antonio, please email kat@fbcbryan.org who will instruct you how to register at the discounted rate.

COUNSELING SERVICES

God expects us to need help. He has not called us to live in isolation without helpers. That’s why He’s provided many helpers for His children in the church and faith community. You and your family matter to God. Our church encourages and fully supports you seeking the help you need.

THE INTAKE PROCESS:   Laura Bauer, LCSW is a local counselor by vocation and serves as our church’s Living Well Ministries Associate. Her role is to direct our Re:generation recovery ministry as well as provide counseling intake services. When you inquire about counseling, she meets with you first to understand the nature of your need then connects you with counselors and services in our community that can best meet your need.

*If you or someone you know is in (or has put others in) imminent danger, please call 911.
