Temporary Working Group: Disciple-Based Community Review
Exofficio:

Objective:

Contributing to the Transition Team's guidance through the Leadership Focus of the IIM process, develop an implementable plan to intentionally engage the Bryan/College Station community in weekly discipleship connections to create healthy, spiritual communities.

Charges:          
  • Understand and evaluate the current model of discipleship/education used by First Baptist Church Bryan (Use of ABFs/ Small Groups/ Sunday School Classes)
  • Examine congregational formats, weekly programs, and staffing structures that will validate, direct, encourage, and mutually support multiple methodologies of ministries, evangelism, missions, fellowship and service.
  • Provide the church with strategies to create opportunities that will bring about intergenerational discipleship, connections; and education concerning Baptist distinctives
Timeline:

Provide its initial report to the One Church One Body Temporary Committee by September 1, 2013 and a final report by October 1, 2013.

Composition:

Balanced by gender, age, membership tenure, and discipleship experience; 3-5 Men; 3-5 Women
