Our Sunday mornings feature the opportunity to engage in worship services and Bible fellowships.
Worship Services:
Worship is a time of fellowship, celebration and learning. Each time of worship centers around a clear, practical, and relevant message from God's Word presented by Tim Owens, our Pastor. Pastor Tim is gifted in sharing the life-changing message of the Bible in ways we can understand and apply to our daily life.
Our worship also features elements of music, creative arts, and technology to communicate and inspire. Depending on the service you attend, you will see a choir, orchestra, band, or a mix of all three onstage. During times of congregational singing, a worship leader along with a team of singers will give direction to the experience of worship.
Throughout the service, you are welcome to join in or sit back and observe — however you feel most comfortable. The dress is casual and varied so come as you are.
We currently have two service times. Each worship experience has different musical flavors with the same Bible teaching:
9:00 am—Contemporary Service
The first service will offer a dynamic, contemporary worship experience, blended with modern choruses and hymns. The service will be led by a worship team and praise band.
10:25 am—Traditional Service
The second service is designed for those who enjoy celebrating through the great hymns of faith. A complete choir, accompanied by an organist, pianist, and sometimes a volunteer orchestra, will lead the congregation through popular hymns and choruses.
In each service, our prayer is that God will be glorified as you experience joy, love, learning, and fellowship. After the service, you can pick up more information about our church at the information desks in the foyer.
Bible Fellowships:
Connecting with others through authentic fellowship is a key to your experience at First Baptist Bryan. Bible Fellowship is your opportunity to be involved with a group of people of similar age, life circumstance, or interests. In these smaller groups of ten to twenty-five people, you can build relationships and study the Bible together.
ADULTS:
Numerous classes are offered for all age groups at the same time as both worship services. Adult classes meet in various locations throughout our building. To find out more about our classes, visit our Bible Fellowship Finder. We would also invite you to stop by the Welcome Center in the atrium to find our more information about the various Bible Fellowships and for directions to a class.
COLLEGE STUDENTS:
We offer a college / university Bible study at both hours. Most students attend the 9:00 a.m. worship service, which is followed by “The Vine” from 10:15-11:30 a.m. in room 120.
YOUTH:
Youth Ministry Bible Fellowships are offered only at the 10:25 a.m. time slot. Junior High School students experience Bible Fellowship in Room 230-231. High School students experience Bible Fellowship in Rooms 240-241.
CHILDREN:
Our children grades 1-6 meet in smaller groups by school grade to discuss Bible truths that relate to their lives. To find out where to take your children on Sunday mornings, check out "Where do my kids go?" .
PRESCHOOL:
Even the smallest child is taught about Jesus through our Bible Fellowship program. Loving, caring adults provide a nurturing atmosphere in which they can communicate Bible truths through age-appropriate activities.
